Crawl Space Moisture
This was the crawl space before starting the project.
Dampness
They had puddles of standing water all over.
Insulation
Condensation weighs down the insulation, causing its r-value to decrease, meaning it's less effective.
Rotting Posts
The posts had extensive water damage.
Drainage
We installed perimeter drainage in the crawl space to control groundwater seepage.
Encapsulated Crawl Space
We laid in drainage matting, then encapsulated the crawl space in our thick CleanSpace liner.
Humidity
We installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump System and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, exclusive to Basement Systems network dealers.
Discharge Line
On the outside of the home, we laid an in-ground discharge line. These IceGuard Ports protect the line from freezing.
Sealed Vents
We sealed the vents to prevent mold growth, and help maintain comfortable temperatures within the home. Ventilation is not needed because we are able to create a controlled, conditioned, environment in the crawl space.
WaterWatch Alarm
If there is ever a pump failure or leak, this WaterWatch Remote Alarm System will alert the homeowners.
Clean Crawl Space
When we finished this project, the crawl space was clean enough to eat off of.
Condensation
Moisture absorbed into the fiberglass insulation and began to grow mold.
