A senior living facility in Edmonds, WA, was having trouble with a leaky crawl space and basement and the water was coming up from the foundation. The owners of the property needed a permanent fix, so we sent System Design Specialist, Jean-Paul Holcomb, to provide a free on-site inspection and estimate. Once he was able to determine the solution to control the water leaking in, we had our crew with Foreman, David Nush, out to complete the project over the span of a week.
By installing an interior drainage channel in the basement, we were able to re-direct water from the ground to a brand new TripleSafe Sump Pump System. With the TripleSafe, the property owners have peace of mind. The three-in-one pump system can handle thousands of gallons of water per hour and even keeps working when the power goes out with a battery back-up.
This crawl space flooded multiple times from hydrostatic pressure along the foundation during heavy rains. The homeowners were equipped with two different pumps and were still getting water. With a brand new sump pump, drainage piping, and this beautiful CleanSpace Encapsulation System, we repaired their crawl space, plus made it safe and usable.

Raphael in Edmonds, WA, were experiencing water issues in their below-grade garage/basement. Since moving in five years prior, water consistently seeped in during heavy rains, leaking through walls and causing damage to the drywall. Concerned with fixing the problem permanently, they called upon the experts at Rainy Day Basement Systems to waterproof the area. Our Design Specialist, Ed, designed a system to eliminate the problem once and for all using a full-perimeter drainage channel, WaterGuard, and strategically placed SuperSump pump system along with it. The crew fitted an entryway with TrenchDrain to collect surface leaks in addition to the sub-floor system.
Since having the area waterproofed, they now have new peace-of-mind for any rain ahead with groundwater seepage under control.
Barbara decided to give Rainy Day a call because water was seeping at the bottom of her basement stairs. She was worried about the costly damage the puddles could cause long-term. We sent out our System Design Specialist, Ed Upenieks, for a free in-home visit. After measuring and determining her needs, they came up with a solution for waterproofing the basement.
We sent out Foreman, Wyatt Sokolis, and the crew for a two-day project at Barabara’s home. To collect the water under her home and redirect it out, we installed our WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a high-density interior drainage channel that is installed on the perimeter of the basement wall. Leaks are captured beneath the floor and leave through a discharge line. Once installed, WaterGuard is covered with a thin layer of concrete, making the system nearly invisible. The result is a dry basement for Barbara from now on, as we head into the rainier months.

Bernie of Edmonds, WA, was curious about Rainy Day because he wanted to inquire about crawl space encapsulation and getting a clean-out. The insulation in his crawl space was falling, and the existing vapor barrier needed to be replaced. He decided to go with CleanSpace, our encapsulation system, because it is a great way to protect and maintain a perfectly clean and dry crawl space. Unlike other vapor barriers, it is thick and durable, making it difficult for rocks and rigid earth to penetrate it. The 20mil thick polyethylene material works better than the typical 6mil black plastic vapor barrier used in homes because it is more durable and seals it the home from mold and moisture. For long-term protection, better energy savings, and increased value of your home, CleanSpace is the way to go.
