This Stanwood home had water leaking into the basement though the footing. After completing a free inspection and estimate, we determined that a damp and musty crawl space was the source.

To prevent ground water seepage, we installed drainage trenching along the interior footing of the foundation walls. This will direct all captured ground water to the TripleSafe Sump Pump we added. The TripleSafe incorporated three pumps in one including a battery back-up system that offers the homeowner to best protection against water intrusion. The crawl space was then encapsulated in CleanSpace, a highly durable vapor barrier that greatly reduces moisture and humidity levels.

Al & Anna of Stanwood, WA, reached out to Rainy Day because they found water seeping in under their home. Our specialist, Ed Upenieks, visited the family for a free in-home inspection and estimate to determine a permanent solution to their leaking crawlspace.

For this project, we installed our highly-efficient TripleSafe sump pump system. This incredible sump system offers three pumps in one. One pump in itself can handle up to 2,600 gallons of water per hour. That is the equivalent of nearly eight fully-filled hot tubs! With the second pump, there is an added ½ HP to operate if the first pump fails, or if greater pumping volume is needed. The third pump is a battery-operated pump that will turn on during a power failure automatically.

The result is a completely dry, beautiful, and worry-free crawlspace.

Job Stories From Stanwood, WA
Crawlspace Encapsulation in Stanwood, WA

Robert was looking for peace of mind in his damp crawl space. He wanted to prevent his sagging and bouncing floors from getting worse, and was tired of cold floors. We customized a solution for his crawl space to ensure these problems were resolved.

After cleaning everything out, we installed our drainage system to capture leaks. We dug out a space to place our TripleSafe sump pump system at the lowest spot. The entire area was encapsulated using our 20 mil thick CleanSpace vapor barrier to close and seal the space from the damp earth. This also helps maintain comfortable temperatures in the living space because he will no longer lose heat easily through his large, formally vented, crawl space. We installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which will keep humidity low, prevent mold growth and clean the air.

Now, his home is dry and protected for years to come.

Joe V. of Stanwood needed to have his crawl space cleaned and waterproofed. He expressed concerns with his existing sump pump not working and his crawl space leaking. We installed a perforated drainage system around the perimeter of the crawl space. We also installed a new SuperSump to pump the water out through a discharge line and away from the home. Drainage Trenches Installed in Stanwood Crawl Space

Bill and Sherry S. moved into their new home after it was built in 2005. They make good use of their crawl space and go into it often, they noticed early on that it was leaking water. The water had not yet caused any evident mold or serious damage, but Bill and Sherry did not want to take any risks. They contacted Rainy Day Basement Systems because they wanted their crawl space clean and dry for good.

To effectively keep water out of Bill and Sherry’s crawl space, Rainy Day installed drainage trenches all along the inside of the exterior wall footing. This allows the trench to capture the water before it can seep into the space. All of the captured water will be pumped out through the newly added SmartSump. The SmartSump Pump is equipped with a high-quality Zoeller 1/3 hp cast iron pump with an automatic float switch. Its unique design allows for the pumps lid to work together with a vapor barrier to create an airtight seal preventing any objects from getting in and odors from getting out. The pump also includes our WaterWatch Alarm system that is designed to go off like a fire alarm if it detects water in the crawl space like from a burst pipe or a pump failure. The water is then ejected out through the buried discharge line and LawnScape Outlet a safe distance away from the home.

This system is sure to keep Bill and Sherry’s crawl space clean and dry like they expected and they won’t have to worry about any future water damage that could have happened.
