In the "before" image, the crawl space beneath Michael's shop is dimly lit and in a state of disrepair. It lacked proper insulation, allowing external temperature fluctuations to affect the area. The space was a breeding ground for rodents. In the "after" image, the crawl space is transformed. The CleanSpace liner creates a clean, bright, and well-organized environment. The Foamax insulated panels line the walls, providing efficient insulation. The CleanSpace liner now encapsulates the crawl space, preventing rodents and external elements from intruding. Foamax insulated panels line the walls, enhancing temperature regulation and energy efficiency. The spray foam insulation forms a thermal barrier, isolating the crawl space from external temperature fluctuations. All vents are sealed to maintain a controlled environment. This transformation ensures long-lasting comfort and energy efficiency to enjoy year-round.

Del and Rowena have a crawlspace with posts and beams that were experiencing significant settling. The crawlspace was mainly being used for storage,...
Darrel’s recently built home in La Conner had problems created during construction. The contractor missed installing any vents under the home. Darrel heard about sealing crawl spaces before, and wanted a cost-effective solution. Rather than cutting holes in the foundation, he called Rainy Day. During the inspection, we found extreme levels of humidity and mold under the home. Our CleanSpace encapsulation system was the perfect solution to his problems.
Encapsulating seals out mold and moisture. With the help of a dehumidifier, we can also filter the air and condition the space. We were able to improve air quality, energy efficiency, and stop mold.
The project will now help him save money on energy while making the home healthy and safe.

La Conner Basement Waterproofing
Anita and Mike P contacted Rainy Day Basement Systems because they noticed water was seeping into their basement after it would rain. At one point the entire floor was covered in water. Their basement was semi-finished and the water had caused damage to their carpet and padding. The moisture had also allowed mold and mildew to develop in some spots causing a musty odor. Because they use their basement as a shop, it was very important to them to find a long-term solution to their basement troubles.
In order to rid Anita and Mike’s basement of its moisture problems, we first installed our WaterGuard basement waterproofing system. The WaterGuard is a sub-floor drainage system installed along the interior footing of the foundation walls. It has large holes perforated into the bottom to allows ground water in. It also features a special wall flange that creates a neat space between the floor and the wall to drain any wall seepage.
The flange works well with the CleanSpace wall system to drain water from the walls to the WaterGuard. CleanSpace is a highly durable plastic lining that is installed with permanent fasteners to keep it in place. The lining is made from inorganic material and cannot support the growth of any mold or mildew.
We installed a SmartSump pump to remove all the water captured by Mike and Anita’s basement system. The SmartSump is equipped with a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump with a mechanical float switch. It’s capable of pumping up to 2,650 gallons per hour. We also added the UltraSump back-up battery system. The UltraSump ensures that even if the primary pump fails to operate, like in the instance of a power outage, their basement will remain clean and dry all the time.
