The back side of Nick & Taylor's home was rotting out and they had water coming through towards the front. It was especially bad during heavy rains and had been occuring for over two years of them living there. We decided to install our WaterGuard drainage piping and TripleSafe Sump Pump System on the interior of the basement to stop the leaking. Our system will keep the basement dry and usable.

Jeremy's home in Snohomish had a musty smell due to a wet crawlspace. His home was at the bottom of a hill where water would collect during the rainy months, leaving it moldy. He also had multiple groundwater issues and a problem with iron ochre, a gelatinous bacteria that is difficult to deal with that can clog systems.
The solution we proposed involved installing a hybrid of our perimeter drainage and half pipe drainage pipinh. Water collected in the drainage system could then start discharging water from problem areas through our SuperSump pump system.
Once the groundwater issue was addressed, we encapsulated the crawlspace in our CleanSpace vapor barrier and installed our SaniDry dehumidifier. Despite having a tricky crawlspace to work with, with our system we can solve the water problems and improve the odor in the home drastically.

A homeowner in Snohomish had a contractor remodeling the home. During heavy rains, the basement would leak from improper drainage. To solve the issue, we installed our WaterGuard, a sub-floor drainage channel, to collect water and send it through a SuperSump system seamlessly and out of the home. This created a permanently dry solution for the basement and allowed the contractor to proceed with the remodel as planned.

After having purchased their home just over a year ago, Jeffrey and Debbie found pools of water, rotting posts in their Snohomish Washington crawlspace. The amount of water was extremely concerning, so they called Rainy Day to fix the problem for good. We came out to the home and installed a new CleanSpace vapor barrier and interior crawlspace drainage to capture and discharge water from the crawlspace. We added a TripleSafe three-in-one sump pump system in two locations of the large space and covered all their vents to seal out outside air. After inserting a new SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, we were able to control the moisture and humidity to protect the home and improve the air quality in the rest of the living area above the crawl space.

Eric and Kristi M.’s crawl space was not in great condition when they bought their home in 2001. It was evident there was previous water damage and there were cracks throughout the drywall. Their plan (like many others) was to simply ignore the space and make the best out of the rest of their home. However, the problem was more serious than they had originally thought. Their crawl space managed to leak anywhere from one to one and a half feet of water at a time. Bouncy bedroom floors were the result of rotted support posts that had settled into the ground and the drywall cracks were quickly expanding. Eric and Kristi contacted Rainy Day Basement Systems because they were pursuing a long-term solution in preventing future damages.
To resolve the bouncy floors, moldy support posts were removed and replaced with new ones to reestablish a firm foundation. Along with the new posts, a number of measures were taken to prevent water from damaging them in the future. Eric and Kristi’s crawl space was encapsulated in CleanSpace, an antimicrobial crawl space lining that isolates the space completely from the ground below, greatly reducing the amount of moisture allowed into the space. The encapsulation is completed with durable plastic vent covers and an EverLast Crawl Space Door. Both are made entirely out of inorganic materials making them waterproof and unable to support mold or mildew growth.
Moisture that is stopped by the system is captured by the drainage trenches that were added. The water is then pumped through the newly installed TripleSafe Sump Pump, our most effective sump pump. It offers the homeowner three times the protection by including two water outlets, two pumps that can process up to an impressive 6,200 gallons per hour and an additional battery backup system for worst case scenarios, like a power outage. The water is then released out of the LawnScape Outlet, a buried discharge line that carries the water a safe distance away from the home.
