Mold in Crawl Space
This crawl space was showing signs of mold growth, common in damp crawl spaces with high humidity.
Dampness
The homeowner's biggest concern was the consistent dampness under their home.
Poor Insulation
When insulation is affected by condensation, it tends to weigh down and fail over time, losing r-value.
Dirty Crawl Space
This crawl space needed to get a fresh start.
Clean Crawl Space
First things first, we cleaned the crawl space out and hauled out the loose debris.
Vapor Barrier Installation
We installed 1158 square feet of drainage matting and our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier.
Encapsulation
Our process of sealing the crawl space with a vapor barrier is called encapsulation.
Moisture Protection
This isolates the home from the damp earth below, and protects from mold, moisture, and pests.
CleanSpace System
Our CleanSpace Encapsulation also helps keep floors warm in the winter, and cool in the summer, while providing energy efficiency.
Humidity
In an encapsulated crawl space, the system work best hand-in-hand with a dehumidifier such as our SaniDry Sedona. A dehumidifier helps by removing moisture and filtering the air automatically.
Sump Pump
For combatting dampness in the crawl space, our TripleSafe Sump Pump System was the best option available. It has the ability to take out 6200 gallons of water per hour as needed to keep everything dry.
Interior Discharge Line
We installed an interior discharge line to an exterior line, that will remove water from the sump pump to outside the home.
