Crawl Space Inspection
During our inspection, Ryan Adams photographed the problem areas. You can see here the dried mud from moisture sitting on top of the vapor barrier before.
Old Sump Pump
A proper sump pump will keep the crawl space dry and won't easily clog. During heavy rains, this would overflow and leak, causing quite a mess around the crawl space.
Pests and Rodents
Pests dwell in damp, open spaces, especially where they can nest in fiberglass insulation. The best way to tackle this concern is to seal the crawl space to create a barrier between the pests and your home.
Dusty Crawl Space
Around 60 percent of the air in the living space comes from under your home. That means dust and other airborne contaminants such as mold can increase allergy or asthma symptoms for individuals in the home.
Vapor Barrier
Water would collect under the vapor barrier and ended up shifting things around.
Pre Installation of Moisture Barrier
Before we encapsulate the crawl space, we clean out the debris, inorganic materials, and insulation.
Crawl Space Cleanout
After cleaning out the crawl space, we are left with a nice surface to work with and start the next steps.
Drainage Piping Installation
Here we have Daniel, our Production Installer, helping install the piping and sump pump.
Drainage Matting During Installation
We laid in CleanSpace drainage matting to help water move easily under the vapor barrier.
Crawl Space Drainage Matting
Installation Process
Here are the pier pads during the installation process, which will each be wrapped, taped, and sealed to ensure nothing can penetrate through.
SaniDry Dehumidifier
Our SaniDry Dehumidifier keeps the humidity low to prevent mold and moisture under the home.
CleanSpace
CleanSpace leaves the crawl space clean, but more importantly, dry.
Encapsulation
Encapsulating the crawl space helps maintain comfortable temperatures in the living space while creating usable space below.
Wrapped Pier Pads
Everything is sealed, so pests or rodent intrusion is hindered.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
Crawl space encapsulation not only looks clean, it makes the space usable and dry!
Discharge Line
Water can safely discharge out of the home.
IceGuard
Our IceGuard is a patented product exclusive to Basement Systems dealers. It protects the line to prevent it from freezing and flooding the crawl space.
