Photo Album: Fixing a Bad Smell in a Snohomish, WA Crawl Space

This Snohomish homeowner elected the help of the specialists at Rainy Day Basement systems to fix his leaky crawl space and stop the smell coming from it for good.

For this project, we installed our CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system over all accessible dirt floors and below grade concrete walls to isolate the home from the earth moisture.

After installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier, we caulked the edges and sealed the penetrations. Sealing the crawl space prevents mold growth and high humidity that can cause the crawl space to emit a bad odor.

This SmartDrain will collect water from any plumbing leaks above the vapor barrier. The round, red piece is our WaterWatch alarm system that will alert the homeowner if this were to happen.
