Challenge
Rich’s beautiful log wood home in Deming, WA was everything he dreamed of and more. The issue was that despite a beautiful exterior, the area under the home in his crawlspace was not in tip-top shape. A little moisture and leftover debris were scattered throughout, but the biggest challenge was addressing the temperature control in the drafty home.
Solution
Our solution for Rich was a crawlspace encapsulation system to maintain comfortable temperatures year-round. After laying down drainage matting, we installed our very best CleanSpace encapsulation system. In addition to saving energy, it also seals the home from the earth and protects it from potential moisture. The two piers in Rich’s home were wrapped in CleanSpace, and then we installed vent covers from the outside and sealed them with caulking. The final step was adding a new SaniDri Sedona dehumidifier to help condition the air through the crawlspace, circulating the perfectly humid air up into the rest of the home.
