Before, the sump pump was open and would overflow and leak.
An open sump pump can allow debris and dirt which can lead to flooding.
The home was showing signs of iron ochre (orange/reddish substance). Iron ochre is a common gelatinous bacteria which can easily clog a system and is difficult to control.
The leaking in the crawl space left standing water on top of the vapor barrier. This made the crawl space muddy and dirty.
We removed the old debris and vapor barrier to leave the crawl space clean and refreshed.
We installed this 6 mil poly vapor barrier throughout the crawl space.
We installed our TripleSafe sump pump system in place of the old sump pump. The airtight basket prevents clogging and the basket has three pumps, two cast-iron Zoeller pumps and one battery backup pump.
With this WaterWatch sump pump alarm, the homeowners can be notified if water levels rise before damage can occur.
When power outages occur, the sump pump will continue to work with this battery backup.
Our crawl space accesses are built to last and made of materials that won't corrode over time.
Water will now drain safely away through this outlet.
These IceGuards protect the discharge line from freezing and causing fllooding.
Greg had a leaking crawl space at his Bellingham home. His sump pump could not handle the volume of water coming in. He also wanted to clean the space up and get everything in order for better peace of mind. We had Ryan Adams inspect the crawl space and design a simple yet effective system. See what we did and the products used in this photo album.
