During our initial visit, we assessed the crawl space to see what was causing their water issues.
-
Under the home, there was water, rodents, mold, and wood rot.
-
The homeowners indicated that air quality and the health of the home were important to them. They were dealing with respiratory issues, and wanted safe, controlled environment.
-
Due to the moisture, a post supporting the spiral staircase was starting to rot.
-
Their existing sump pump left them high and (not-so) dry and water was accumulating in the crawl space.
-
First, we came and cleaned out the crawl space. David Nush led the Production crew for this project.
-
We dug drainage trenches to install 278 feet of piping along the perimeter of the wall and footing.
-
We encapsulated the crawl space in 1540 square feet of CleanSpace.
-
Using CleanSpace, we seal, tape, and caulk all edges and penetrations. Our encapsulation system protects the home from mold, moisture, and high humidity.
-
CleanSpace is a 20mil material reinforced with cord to resist punctures and tears.
-
We installed 624 square feet of our Foamax Wall System. Foamax is waterproof and helps insulate this taller than average crawl space.
-
To replace the old pump that was flooding and open, we installed our TripleSafe sump pump system. With three pumps in one airtight basket, flooding is a thing of the past. It also has a battery backup to ensure the system continues working even during a power failure.
