House was built in 1944, and has kind of a home-made basement under half of it. Kind of like a storm cellar really. Doesn't seem that it was every really finished. Never had a water problem when I was living there, but it's been vacant for a couple years now, and yesterday there was about 4 inches of water in there. Pumped it out, went back today and there was another 3 inches of water in there. Seems that some tree roots came through in one corner, but water seems to be coming in along the base of one whole wall, and the sand piles on parts of the opposite wall make me think it's probably coming in there as well.
