Crawl Space Access
This was the access before, the homeowners thought water was leaking in from here and the vents.
Groundwater
During our inspection we found water underneath the vapor barrier coming up from the ground,
Vapor Barrier
Water should never be on top of the vapor barrier, unless there is a random plumbing leak which was not the case here.
Crawl Space Before
We wanted to make this crawl space dry by addressing the leaking from all fronts.
Drainage
We did a clean-out and installed piping along one side of the crawl space perimeter to capture leaks.
Crawl Space Leak Repair
We do this by digging shallow trenches in the ground, placing the piping in, then covering it with filter fabric and clean drain rock.
New Vapor Barrier
We installed a new vapor barrier, our CleanSpace 20 mil liner to protect the space from moisture.
Encapsulation
We seal the CleanSpace liner and cover all the floors and walls so there are no openings. This creates a safe, dry environment under the home and improves energy consumption while making the space usable and safe.
SmartSump
We installed our SmartSump system, which is airtight so it doesn't get clogged with debris and has a highly reliable sump pump enclosed with WaterWatch Alarm system.
IceGuard
An exterior discharge line is buried and the line is protected from freezing and flooding with our IceGuard Ports.
