Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Moisture Barrier in Concrete, WA

Sometimes all you need is something simple, but better. That's exactly what we did to clean up Chris' crawl space in Concrete. Chris was looking to update their crawl space, which had an old vapor barrier and failing insulation. They also had rodent activity and light dampness. Our CleanSpace Encapsulation System was the best fit for what they were looking for to seal the space and improve energy efficiency. In this album, we show before and after with the products we used in the process. 

Crawl Space Insulation

Before, this crawl space had insulation weighed down to the ground.

Damp

This crawl space had slight dampness and mold.

Old Vapor Barrier

Their vapor barrier had not been replaced in a long time.

Cleaned Out Crawl Space

We cleaned this crawl space out and gave it a makeover.

Moisture Barrier

We installed 1050 square feet of our CleanSpace vapor barrier.

CleanSpace

CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick, antimicrobial liner that is sealed to the floor and wall of the crawl space.

Control Moisture

Our encapsulation system paired with SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier helps create an isolated environment to prevent high humidity, mold, and moisture.

Crawl Space Encapsulation

Sealing the space helps maintain comfortable temperatures in the home and makes the space completely usable for access or storage.

SmartDrain

We installed this SmartDrain just in case a piping or plumbing leak occurs above the vapor barrier.

Closed Vents

The crawl space access is closed to prevent outside air from coming in. The controlled environment will help keep healthy, conditioned air within the home.
