Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Mill Creek Crawl Space Encapsulation

This crawl space needed a new vapor barrier. The preexisting one was covered in dirt, missing in some places and was no longer serving its purpose. We upgraded the crawl space by encapsulating it with a highly durable lining called CleanSpace. The 20 mils. thick lining seals the space and greatly reduces moisture and humidity. A SaniDry CX Dehumidifier was added to further control the moisture of the space. 

Moisture Problems

Groundwater seepage was making its way through the porous concrete.

Missing Vapor Barrier

The preexisting vapor barrier had been thrown all around and was not properly covering the ground.

The preexisting vapor barrier was completely inadequate. It was bunched up, moved around and covered in dirt.

Damp Ground

The ground is consistently damp from ground water. Without a proper vapor barrier, that moisture will turn into vapor and potentially harm the structures underneath the home.

CleanSpace

We wrap the CleanSpace around the pier pads as well as up the foundation walls for the best encapsulation possible

Healthy Clean Crawl Space

Once encapsulated in CleanSpace, a SaniDry CX Dehumidifier was added to further control the moisture and humidity in the crawl space.
