Peter and Susan G. had purchased their house aware of its pre-existing drawbacks, including uneven floors and the existence of pests and mold. Without any intentions of moving again, they wanted to seek out a permanent solution for the destructive issues within their home.
In order to combat mold, Rainy Day Basement Systems encapsulated their crawl space with CleanSpace, an antimicrobial crawl space lining meant to prevent water vapor and mold from developing. To assist in that fight, a SaniDry CX dehumidifier was installed to keep the crawl space at a steady temperature and the humidity low enough to encourage mold to become dormant and inhibit the growth of future mold.
To re-stabilize the floor beams, a SmartJack support systems was installed. SmartJack is a high-capacity steel pier that is adjustable to prevent settling and even restore the floor to its original level. Each individual SmartJack can hold up to a staggering 30,000 pounds.
Finally, they sealed it all off with an Everlast Crawl Space Door for easy access to and from their crawl space. These doors are specially made for sealing crawl spaces and are made of completely inorganic material that is waterproof, rust proof and resistant to the growth of mold.
