Basement Waterproofing Case Studies: Crawlspace Waterproofing in Eastsound, WA
Challenge
Moldy smells and water in her crawlspace led Leslie of Eastsound, WA, to get her inspection and estimate from Rainy Day. Once complete, we determined the crawlspace needed significant waterproofing renovations done.
Solution
For this project, we first removed all debris and floor insulation to leave it as a clean slate. Our TripleSafe three-in-one sump pump system was then put into the low spot of the crawlspace. After that, we installed a 36’ interior discharge line, attached it to the IceGuard fittings, and then buried an exterior discharge line. The exterior discharge line connects to the LawnScape Outlet out by their pond, and allows water to leave the premises discretely away from the home. Next, we chipped away shallow trenches from the home’s concrete rat slab as needed so the CleanSpace drainage matting could be installed over rat slab. We then installed a CleanSpace liner, which is fitted below grade on the foundation walls. All the vents were sealed and the pier pads were wrapped as well. Our final step was adding in the SaniDry dehumidifier.
