Rainy Day Gets Out There!
With the holiday season upon us we here at Rainy Day wanted to do something as a group to give back to our community. We decided to participate in a fundraiser held by our local running club. The Toys for Tots 5K is a fun (and healthy) activity for us to do together that will help those less fortunate than us.
Toys for tots is a great organization developed by the U.S Marines. The goal of this program/organization is "to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens."
This year the Arlington runners club is hosting their 7th annual Toys for Tots 5K, for the past two years they have had almost 300 participants and this year hope to have more.
The price to participate is $15 for early registration and $20 for registration on the day of the race. Early registration closes on December 1st. For more information on anything mentioned here follow the links below.
We urge everyone to attend and cheer us on, donate, or participate. (We will be the ones wearing the Rainy Day gear)
