Ask an Expert

This week we asked our appointment center manager, Jessica Melanson, for answers to some of the most common questions she receives. Here is what she had to say:Appointment

Why can’t you give me a rough estimate over the phone?

We do not give estimations over the phone because every situation is different and they all require a different solution. We offer many options and our goal is to provide you an accurate diagnosis to the problem so that we can leave you with an estimate that will give you the very best, permanent solution. In order to accomplish that, we must do a detailed onsite inspection and analysis first.

How much does an inspection cost?

All of our inspections and estimates are completely cost and obligation free.

Do I need to be there for the inspection?

We do require the homeowner be at the home during the inspection. This ensures that the system design specialist can go over the best options available as well as financing options if need be. It also allows homeowners to ask any questions as they come up so they can be answered promptly and accurately.

How long does an inspection usually take?

The time an inspection takes can vary widely and is dependent on each and every circumstance. For this reason, we like to reserve approximately two to three hours for the appointment so the inspector can do a thorough job and not miss a thing.

Why does the inspection take so long?

During the inspection our system design specialist does a comprehensive inspection of the basement or crawl space inside and out. Afterwards the inspector will illustrate a sketch, go over the findings and discuss repair options with the homeowner and then provides an estimate at that point.

Can I buy the products and simply do it myself?

All of our products are patented and require installation by one of our certified waterproofing professionals.
